W.L. Van Zandt started fixing pickups in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area back in the early 1960s, decades before he ever put his own name on a pickup box. A machinist by trade and a country guitarist by night, he began rewinding magnets for players he knew, and word of mouth eventually turned that hobby into a full-blown pickup shop. Every set that leaves the Texas workshop still carries that same hands-on approach.
