Description
The DISQIS transducer works directly with your instrument’s soundboard, capturing the vibrations that give your acoustic its voice rather than relying on a generic under-saddle strip. It’s built for steel-string guitars, dulcimers, mandolins, guitarrons, and pretty much any stringed soundboard instrument where tone matters more than convenience.
- Mounts internally through the soundhole, adhered underneath the soundboard where it stays protected from bumps, changes in strings, and general stage chaos.
- Delivers strong, usable output at high volume without the squealing feedback that plagues a lot of internal pickups pushed through a loud PA.
- Wired with Barcus-Berry’s own Fas-Jac 1/4″ strap-button mono jack, so the output doubles as your strap peg — one less hole to drill, one less part to fail.
- No preamp needed. Plug in and go; the transducer’s output is ready for your amp or DI as-is.
In the box you get the external-mount transducer/pickup, the Fas-Jac 1/4″ external mount output jack, four double-sided adhesive foam mounting pads, the hardware needed for installation, and a manual to walk you through the process.
Whether you’re wiring up a beloved dulcimer that’s never had electronics or swapping out a piezo strip that’s killing your acoustic’s natural warmth, the DISQIS gives you a straightforward, gig-ready way to plug in without changing how your instrument actually sounds.
