Description
The Lace Sensor Dually packs a Blue and a Gold sensor into a single black-covered housing, giving you two distinct coil voices instead of one fixed tone. This is the same pairing used on the Strat Ultra and other factory installs, so if you’re chasing that specific flavor of Fender single-coil-meets-humbucker versatility, this is where it comes from.
Run it in full mode and the Blue/Gold combination behaves like a humbucker – low noise, fuller output, less hum-sensitive than a standard single coil. Flip to split mode and you isolate one coil at a time, opening the door to classic Strat spank and in-between quack without swapping pickups or routing your guitar for something new.
Because the Dually’s coils are independently accessible, you’re not locked into one wiring scheme. Blend it with other Lace Sensor colors elsewhere in the guitar – a Red in the neck, a Silver in the middle – and you start building a set with genuinely different tonal characters at each position rather than three pickups that all sound like variations on the same theme.
