Born in Seymour Duncan’s Custom Shop for George Lynch, the Screamin’ Demon takes the wide-open vintage voice of the ’59 Model and pushes it toward something snarlier. Same DNA, different attitude — you get less of the ’59’s top-end bite and more low-mid growl, with a percussive attack that still lets the treble breathe instead of turning brittle or harsh.
What sets the SH-12 apart mechanically is its mixed screw setup: one row of allen screws paired with one row of standard slotted screws. It’s a small detail with a real sonic payoff, contributing to the pickup’s distinctive
