Description
The S/S/81 traces back to the early ’80s, when the idea of dropping a humbucker into the bridge of a Strat first took off. EMG ran with that concept and built out nearly every combination players could want, all available prewired from the factory. Depending on how your guitar’s already set up, you can order it fully or partially assembled, and thanks to EMG’s Quik-Connect system, every pickup and control connects via cable rather than solder joints. That means you can rearrange, swap, or upgrade individual pieces of the system down the road without ever touching a soldering iron.
This particular set pairs two EMG single coils with an EMG-81 humbucker, giving you classic single-coil snap in positions one and two along with the aggressive, high-output punch of the 81 when you need it.
