Description
The EMG SA takes the classic single-coil formula and injects it with active electronics muscle. Each pickup uses one Alnico bar magnet to keep the high-end sparkle players expect from a Strat-style tone, but the active circuitry adds midrange body and extra output that passive single coils just can’t touch. The result is a pickup that cleans up beautifully yet pushes into smooth, bell-like overdrive when you dig in – which explains why players like Steve Lukather and David Gilmour have leaned on this set for years.
This is a complete, ready-to-install SetW (loaded pickguard-style assembly), so there’s no piecing together individual parts. It arrives prewired with volume, two tone controls, and a 5-way selector switch (black and white knobs included), plus EMG’s Quik-Connect cables for solderless hookup, an output jack, battery clip, mounting screws, and springs.
