At the core are three CTS 250K solid-shaft potentiometers paired with a Switchcraft 1/4″ mono output jack — the same combo that’s lived inside countless Jazz Basses for decades. Emerson pairs them with their own 0.047uf paper-in-oil capacitor, a tone-cap choice favored for smoothing off harshness without smothering low-end growl, plus a volume mod for tighter control over your signal.
Every connection is hand-soldered using 22 AWG vintage-style push-back wire, giving the kit an old-school look under the hood and keeping things easy to trace or modify later. The jack connections get heat-shrink insulation over the solder joints, which cuts down on shorts and keeps the harness reliable for the long haul.
One thing to note before you order: if your bass is an import with metric-sized pot holes, the US-spec pots here may be a touch too snug. A quick reaming of the pickguard holes (and US-spec knobs) will get everything fitting properly.
