Resonator guitars are notoriously fussy about pickup clearance, and Lace Music built the Ultra Slim Acoustic Sensor specifically to solve that problem. At just .275″ tall, it’s the lowest-profile humbucker on the market, letting it tuck into resonator cavities where bulkier pickups simply won’t fit.
Despite the slim build, the USA Sensor keeps its full-size Duo-coil humbucking design intact. That means you get genuine hum cancellation and a quieter signal path, without sacrificing the coil area needed for a rich, natural voice. Resonator players in particular will notice the improved balance since nothing is fighting the cone’s own acoustic behavior.
Installation is straightforward: a non-marring adhesive tape holds the sensor firmly in place, no permanent modification required. It ships wired with a quality cable terminating in a Switchcraft 1/4″ female jack, which also gives you the option of a permanent installation if you’d rather hardwire it into your guitar.
