Forget carving a hole for an internal pickup — the DISQOS mounts externally, hidden inside the soundhole and tucked underneath the soundboard where it’s protected but still catching every bit of top vibration. It’s a genuinely universal solution, working across an almost absurd range of acoustic stringed instruments: steel-string and classical guitars, mandolins, dulcimers, banjos, ukuleles, violins, sitars, ouds, koto, kalimba, even drum triggers and steel drums. If it has a soundboard, the DISQOS can probably read it.
Output runs through Barcus-Berry’s own Fas-Jac 1/4″ jack, available either as a strap-button mono jack or a 1/4″ external mount jack depending on the model you choose. Both configurations are built for quick installs and deliver strong signal levels with none of the feedback that plagues cheaper soundboard pickups at gig volume — no preamp needed, none required.
