Under the cover, controlled-tension winding paired with custom wire and hand-calibrated Alnico 5 magnets gives this pickup its vintage character—full of nuance, with single notes that carry real weight and chords that stay articulate rather than mushy. Double wax potting keeps things quiet under stage volume and gain, so you get the vintage sizzle without the microphonic squeal that often comes with it.
DiMarzio’s Twang King Bridge chased a similar vintage Broadcaster/Tele tone, but the True Velvet T Bridge is the bigger sibling—more scale, more dynamic headroom, and a wider spread between your quietest fingerpicked notes and your loudest dug-in strums.
