Description
Some pickups whisper. The Invader shouts. Seymour Duncan built this bridge humbucker for players who need maximum output and zero compromise – think metal, thrash, punk, and garage rock where subtlety isn’t the point.
- Trio of ceramic magnets for an aggressive, wide-reaching magnetic field
- Over-wound coils push output well past typical passive pickup territory
- Twelve black oxide cap screws add to the pickup’s raw, industrial character
- Four-conductor hookup cable included for flexible wiring options (coil-split, series/parallel, etc.)
- Zebra bobbin finish – black and cream coils side by side
The Invader is built to be driven hard, and it rewards that with a thick, saturated attack that keeps its shape even under heavy gain. While it’s most commonly run in the bridge, Seymour Duncan also offers a neck version with dialed-back output for players who want the Invader’s DNA without the neck position turning to mush.
If your rig can’t handle the power, that’s on the rig. This pickup was never built to play it safe.
