Description
This DiMarzio set pairs two pickups that were built to solve opposite problems and somehow end up complementing each other perfectly. The DP193BC Air Norton in the neck position uses a patented magnetic structure that cuts string pull, so notes bloom with long sustain and expressive dynamics instead of choking out. It’s warm and open without turning to mud, and it throws off unexpected harmonic content for a neck humbucker — something most players don’t discover until they’ve had one installed for a while.
The DP155FBC Tone Zone bridge pickup, F-spaced for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge, exists to fix the classic problem of thin, buzzy-sounding bridge humbuckers. Its dual-resonance coil design keeps bass and low-mids reinforced without losing clarity on single notes, so hard picking delivers real power while a lighter touch stays clean. Chords sound massive; high notes keep their depth.
Both pickups ship in matching Black/Creme bobbins with 4-conductor wiring for coil-splitting flexibility, and this set includes a free set of D’Addario EXL110 Regular Light strings to get your guitar strung up and ready to test the new tone immediately. Recommended for solid body and semi-hollow guitars.
