If you love the offset snap of a Jaguar but wish it had a bit more shove behind it, the SJAG-2 Hot Jaguar set is the fix. Both pickups are true single-coils, hand wound hotter than stock, so chords fill out with extra midrange and solos push forward instead of getting lost in the mix. It’s still unmistakably Jaguar — just with the volume knob on your tone dialed up.
Each pickup uses hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and a custom coil wind for that fatter, more aggressive voice. The neck pickup is wound RWRP (reverse wind, reverse polarity), so when it’s paired with the Hot Jaguar bridge, the two cancel hum together — a nice bonus on a platform not exactly famous for quiet single-coils. Construction stays true to spec with vintage-correct Forbon flatwork and cloth push-back hookup wire, and every pickup is wax potted to keep squeal out of the equation, especially handy if you’re chasing gain.
Both units are direct drop-in replacements for Fender American Standard Jaguar-sized pickups and sit right into your original covers and claw — no routing, no rewiring headaches, no cover or claw included with this set.
