Description
If your Jaguar sounds a little too polite, the SJAG-2 set is the fix. Seymour Duncan took the classic single-coil Jaguar formula and cranked the output with a custom coil wind, turning that glassy chime into something with real chest and cut. Chords get thicker, leads get pushier, and the pickup still cleans up like a true single coil should.
- Neck (SJAG-2N): Hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a hotter wind add midrange punch without losing definition. Wound RWRP (reverse wind, reverse polarity) so it hums-cancels when paired with the Hot Jaguar bridge. Drop-in fit for Fender American Standard Jaguar routing, cover, and claw — sold without cover.
- Bridge (SJAG-2B): Same hand ground alnico 5 construction and custom wind, tuned to make the bridge position scream instead of thin out. Cuts through a mix the way vintage-spec Jaguar pickups can’t. Drop-in fit for American Standard Jaguar spacing — sold without cover or claw.
- Both pickups use vintage-correct Forbon flatwork and cloth push-back hookup wire, and are wax potted to kill microphonic squeal.
- Run them together for a balanced hot-rodded Jaguar, or mix the Hot Jaguar bridge with a Vintage Jaguar neck for more contrast between positions.
This set also includes a free pack of Ernie Ball 2225 Extra Slinky strings (.008-.038), made with nickel-plated steel wound over a hex steel core and tin-plated high carbon steel plain strings — a solid, balanced-tone match to restring your Jag once the new pickups are in.
