Description
The DiMarzio Pro Track solves the classic Strat conversion problem: how do you get humbucker output and hum-canceling quiet without giving up that vintage single-coil personality? The answer is a pair of nickel-plated blades running the full width of the coil, so string alignment and dropout worries disappear no matter where your action or intonation lands.
- Direct-fit for standard Strat pickup routes
- Twin nickel-plated blade construction for consistent string-to-string response
- Enough output to work convincingly in any position – bridge, middle, or neck
- Aged White cover with nickel pole pieces
In the bridge, it’s got the grit and snap for blues lead work, and it plays well with a Cruiser in the neck and a Fast Track 1 in the middle for a balanced three-pickup mix. Want something heavier? Drop two Pro Tracks into the neck and middle, then pair them with a Fast Track 2 or any full-size humbucker in the bridge for a rock setup that still cleans up when you back off the volume knob.
Don’t overlook it as a neck pickup, either – plenty of players keep one in there specifically so they can slide from rock into jazz territory without reaching for a second guitar. It’s a genuinely flexible pickup that respects the Strat’s voice while giving you more headroom to work with.
