This SA/SA/81 combo drops the high-output EMG 81 into the bridge for tight, aggressive low end and searing lead tone, while a pair of Alnico V-loaded SA single coils handle the middle and neck positions with the kind of smooth, articulate sparkle single coils are known for — but with active electronics keeping noise out of the equation.
