The J45J-L/S is Bartolini’s b-axis take on their original 1970s HI-A formula, reworked into a matched Jazz Bass set for 5-string players: a ‘long’ pickup for the bridge and a ‘short’ one for the neck. Wound with dual in-line coils for true hum-cancelling operation, this pair has become a favorite among working musicians and the luthiers who set their instruments up, prized for a tone that’s big and punchy without losing definition.

Mirroring the asymmetry of vintage J-Bass routing, the bridge pickup measures 3-3/4″ long while the neck pickup runs slightly shorter at 3-5/8″ — so before you order, measure your existing pickups to confirm this set matches your bass’s cavities. This set is also offered in an L/LN configuration if your neck position calls for a different pairing.
