Description
This set pairs the MKM4CBC-T neck pickup with the MK4CBC-B bridge pickup, both wearing Bartolini’s familiar MK soapbar shell and both wired as dual-coil humbuckers. The bridge unit measures 4.24″ / 107.57mm long by 1.33″ / 33.66mm wide, and its coil arrangement is voiced for authority in the lows and low-mids while still letting a clean, bright treble edge cut through the mix.
Both pickups belong to Bartolini’s Classic Bass series, a passive design line built around a wider, more resonant frequency window than typical soapbar sets. Rather than the usual trade-off of scooping mids for top-end sparkle, these pickups add air and articulation up high while keeping the low-end weight and low-mid body intact — useful whether you’re playing fingerstyle, slap, or picked lines that need to stay defined in a busy mix.
Construction is fully epoxy-cast, a Bartolini signature that locks the coils and magnets in place to shut down microphonics and unwanted feedback, so the pickups stay quiet even at stage volume or under a hot amp.
