Description
The PBF77D is the bridge half of Bartolini’s Rock’n’Roll pairing, engineered alongside veteran guitar builder Ed Reynolds to push vintage humbucker character into higher-gain territory. Where the rest of the PBF line chases classic PAF warmth, the 77D is voiced for players who want that same smoothness but with more horsepower under distortion and overdrive.
- Standard PAF shape, dual-coil humbucker for 6-string electric guitar
- Designed for the bridge position
- High output tuned for driven amps and high-gain rigs
- Crisply defined bass, excellent midrange presence, smooth treble that doesn’t get harsh under saturation
- Width: 1.52″ / 39mm, Length: 2.75″ / 70mm
- Epoxy-potted construction to eliminate microphonics and unwanted feedback
- Available with Gold or Nickel plated cover
Pair it with the PBF-55 in the neck for Bartolini’s Rock’n’Roll voicing — clarity and sweetness up top, power and control down low. It’s the same philosophy that runs through the whole PBF series, distilled from decades of real-world humbucker tone chasing, but built specifically for players who dig into their picking hand and want the pickup to keep up.
Whether it’s dropped into a ’59-style Les Paul, a semi-hollow, or something built for heavier work, the PBF77D’s plated cover keeps things looking classic while the winding underneath does the heavy lifting.
