Description
The Demeter COMP-2 Compulator Pro takes the optical compression circuit from Demeter’s original Compulator and hands you the keys to it. Instead of a fixed voicing, you get dedicated Attack and Release knobs, so you can dial in everything from a snappy, transparent squeeze to the slow-blooming, singing sustain that made LA-2A-style compressors legendary in the first place. Crank both controls to their fastest settings and you’re back at the classic Compulator sound — so nothing’s lost, only added.
A Compress knob lets you set how hard the optical cell is working, while a Low/High Gain switch (with an internal trimpot for fine adjustment of the high setting) gives you an instant boost when you need deeper compression on the fly, or want a quick way to balance output between two different instruments. It’s a genuinely versatile box for players who want the studio-classic optical compression feel but don’t want to be locked into one texture.
Every Compulator Pro is hand-assembled in the U.S.A. with premium components — this is boutique build quality through and through. Note: this listing is for a demo unit.
