The DP193FW Air Norton was originally meant to be a bridge pickup for high-gain amps, but it turned out to be one of DiMarzio’s best neck humbuckers instead. The patented Air Norton magnetic structure cuts down on string pull so notes sustain longer and pick attack stays expressive rather than mushy. Expect a deep, warm voice that never turns muddy, with hot output but surprisingly clear harmonics for a neck pickup – it plays especially well through 500K pots if you want extra treble sparkle. Alnico 5 magnet, 270mV output, 12.58k DC resistance.
The DP155FW Tone Zone in the bridge is the fix for pickups that turn your bass strings into a buzzy mess under gain. It’s a high-output design with real dynamic range – dig in and it roars, back off and it cleans up nicely. Patented dual-resonance coils keep the low end tight and huge while still letting single notes ring with depth, and it splits to a genuinely usable single-coil tone. Alnico 5 magnet, 375mV output, 17.31k DC resistance.
