The DP193BC Air Norton (neck) was originally conceived as an Airbucker take on the Norton, but it found its true calling in the neck slot. Expect deep, warm tone that stays clear rather than mushy, plus surprising harmonic content for a neck humbucker. DiMarzio’s patented Air Norton magnetic structure cuts string pull, which means longer sustain and more room to control your dynamics and pick attack. Wire it to 500K pots if you want extra treble sparkle and harmonic bite.
The DP155BC Tone Zone (bridge) solves the classic high-output problem: pickups that sound huge but collapse into a buzzy mess under hard picking. The Tone Zone instead offers real dynamic range — dig in for serious power, back off for clean articulation — backed by big bass and low-mid push that makes single notes feel deep and chords feel enormous. Its patented dual-resonance coils pull out more overtones than you’d expect from a pickup this fat, and it splits cleanly to a solid single-coil voice.
