It’s got surprising harmonic complexity for a neck humbucker — genuinely useful clean or dirty. Run 500K pots if you want to push more treble and top-end shimmer out of it.
Down at the bridge, the DP155BK Tone Zone brings serious low-end weight and a wide dynamic range — dig in and it roars, back off and it cleans up nicely. Its dual-resonance coil design keeps overtones present even under all that fatness, so single notes stay defined and chords sound massive rather than smeared. Split it for a usable single-coil tone too.
Both pickups use 4-conductor wiring for coil-splitting flexibility and Alnico 5 magnets, and this set is built for solid body and semi-hollow guitars. As a bonus, it comes with a free set of D’Addario EXL116 Medium Top/Heavy Bottom strings to get your setup fully dialed in.
