Description
Telecaster neck pickups have a reputation problem — too often they’re thin, dark, and buried in the mix. DiMarzio set out to fix that with the Twang King Neck, and the True Velvet T Neck pushes that formula further. Low strings stay big and articulate, but the top end smooths out and the pick attack gets a firmer push, so you end up with a pickup that’s equally happy sounding delicate or digging in hard.
Under the hood, the True Velvet T shares its DNA with the Twang King: controlled-tension coil winding, specially selected wire, and magnets that are hand-calibrated rather than just dropped in. It’s finished with an unplated nickel cover for a cleaner, more open voice, and it’s double wax-potted so you get quiet, squeal-free performance even when you’re pushing a dirty amp or hot stage volume.
