The IGNO™ is Scott LePage’s answer to a common bridge pickup problem: plenty of players chase output and end up with mush in the mids. This one doesn’t make that trade. It’s wound around an Alnico 8 magnet, which is where the extra shove comes from, and both coils are scatter wound using DiMarzio’s dual resonance approach. The result is a bridge pickup that stays warm without piling up in the midrange, so lead lines and chords keep their separation instead of blurring into one frequency.
This is the pickup Scott reaches for when he needs to dig in – think the more aggressive, percussive side of Polyphia’s catalog, where djent-adjacent riffing meets those slippery, melodic runs.
