DiMarzio’s PAF Master set is their answer, and this pairing gives you both halves done right — a DP260BK neck model and an F-spaced DP261FBK bridge model, matched in black plastic and wound with just enough restraint to keep the tone articulate.
The neck pickup uses Alnico 5 magnets and 4-conductor wiring, outputting 193mV at 7.37 Kohm DC resistance. It’s the throaty, full-bodied half of the set — rich without getting muddy, with creamy top end that lets single notes breathe even under heavy chord work. Sustain stays long, but clarity never gets sacrificed for output.
The bridge pickup swaps in Alnico 4 magnets for a slightly different flavor, and it’s wired 4-conductor with a 1-conductor option if you want to simplify your wiring later. At 278mV output and 7.69 Kohm DC resistance, it’s the hotter, snarlier half — picked hard, it delivers thick, rock-and-roll grit while still tracking multi-note playing cleanly. Being F-spaced, it’s built specifically for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge, so the pole pieces line up properly under each string.
