DiMarzio’s PAF Master series was built for players who love vintage PAF tone but want it dialed in with more consistency and touch-sensitivity than an old-school pickup can offer. This set pairs the DP260BK Neck and DP261BK Bridge, both in stealthy black covers, so you get a matched pair voiced to work together across the whole fretboard.
The Neck model is wound to stay quiet, bright, and airy without tipping into thin territory. It’s got a throaty midrange and smooth, creamy top end—enough richness to feel full, but never mushy. Winding count is tuned specifically so single notes stay articulate even as chords sustain and bloom.
The Bridge model brings the attitude. It’s dynamic and reactive to pick attack, cleaning up nicely for chords but turning snarly and thick when you dig in. Rock and roll character is baked into the DNA here—this is the pickup for players who want push-back from their gear.

Both pickups use 4-conductor wiring, so you’ve got full flexibility for coil-splitting, series/parallel switching, or phase tricks if your wiring setup allows it. This bundle also includes a free set of D’Addario EXL110 Regular Light strings to get your rewired guitar back on stage sooner.
