DiMarzio built the PAF Master series for players chasing that elusive vintage PAF character without giving up clarity or output consistency. This set pairs the DP260BK neck model with the F-spaced DP261BK bridge model, both finished in black, and throws in a fresh set of D’Addario EXL115 Medium strings so you’re ready to plug in and go.
The DP260BK neck pickup uses an Alnico 5 magnet and 4-conductor wiring to deliver a full, throaty voice that never gets muddy. DiMarzio dialed in the winding just right — enough to let notes bloom and sustain, but not so much that articulation gets buried. Highs stay smooth and creamy rather than brittle, which is exactly what you want sitting under a solo.
