Description
DiMarzio’s PAF Master pair chases the elusive qualities vintage-PAF hunters obsess over: low noise floor, articulate top end, and a dynamic response that reacts to how hard you actually play. This is a matched neck/bridge set in black, so you’re getting two purpose-built halves of one cohesive voice rather than a generic pickup paired with itself twice.
- DP260BK Neck: 4-conductor wiring, Alnico 5 magnet, 193mV output, 7.37 Kohm DC resistance. Wound to hit a sweet spot — full and throaty without turning to mud, with smooth, creamy highs that let single notes stay clear inside chords. Plenty of sustain, still articulate.
- DP261BK Bridge: 4-conductor wiring (1-conductor optional), Alnico 4 magnet, 278mV output, 7.69 Kohm DC resistance. Where the neck is polite, this one has attitude — it responds to touch, handles multi-note passages cleanly, and turns snarly and thick when you dig in.
Together they cover the ground vintage PAF fans actually care about: quiet under gain, dynamic under your hands, and voiced to sing rather than just sit there and compress everything into sameness.
This set also includes a free pack of Ernie Ball EB2627 Beefy Slinky strings, so you can get the new pickups strung up and dialed in without a separate trip to the string rack.
