DiMarzio built the PAF Master series for players chasing that elusive vintage humbucker character—quiet, articulate, and alive under your fingers—without the inconsistency of an actual old PAF. This bundle pairs the DP260BC neck model with the F-spaced DP261FBC bridge model, both finished in classic black and creme, so you get a matched set voiced to work together rather than two pickups picked at random.
The neck pickup is wound with just enough turns to stay clear and dynamic. Expect a full, throaty midrange with smooth, creamy top end—rich without turning to mud, and sustain that doesn’t come at the cost of note separation. Specs: 4-conductor wiring, Alnico 5 magnet, 193mV output, 7.37K DC resistance.
The F-spaced bridge model is the snarlier half of the pair. It’s touch-sensitive, handles chords and double-stops with real clarity, and when you dig in it delivers a thick, growling rock tone with genuine attitude. Specs: 4-conductor wiring (1-conductor optional), Alnico 4 magnet, 278mV output, 7.69K DC resistance.
Rounding out the package is a set of Ernie Ball EB2222 Hybrid Slinky strings, so once your new pickups are wired in you’ve got fresh strings ready to go.
