Description
The PAF Master series was built for players chasing that elusive vintage humbucker sound but who won’t settle for the noise, mud, or inconsistency that can come with it. This set pairs the DP260BC neck with the DP261FBC F-spaced bridge, both wound to bring out clarity and dynamics without sacrificing the throaty, snarly character PAF fans obsess over.
On the neck side, the DP260BC uses an Alnico 5 magnet and 4-conductor wiring to deliver a rich, full voice that never turns to mush. It’s dialed in with just enough winding to let notes sing and sustain while staying articulate — smooth, creamy highs included. DC resistance sits at 7.37 Kohm with an output around 193 mV.
The DP261FBC bridge model swaps in an Alnico 4 magnet for a slightly different flavor — thick, snarly, and rock-and-roll ready, especially when picked hard. It’s F-spaced to line up properly with modern bridge string spacing, wired 4-conductor (with 1-conductor operation optional), and measures in at 7.69 Kohm DC resistance with roughly 278 mV output. It responds well to chords and multi-note playing without collapsing into noise.
Together, this neck/bridge pairing gives you a cohesive, dynamic voice across the whole fretboard — vintage tone with the quiet, dynamic response players actually want.
