Description
This DP151BK/DP155BK set covers both ends of the tonal spectrum without asking you to compromise on clarity. The PAF Pro (DP151) in the neck was built for the era when high-gain rigs and rack processing started taking over stages, so it delivers an open, vintage PAF-style voice that stays articulate through heavy effects instead of dissolving into mush. Expect snappy, chunky lows, a mid-range spike that hints at a half-cocked wah, and highs that cut without turning brittle. It’s flexible enough to work in the bridge too when you don’t need maximum output.

In the bridge, the Tone Zone (DP155) brings serious low-end and low-mid weight without the thin, buzzy edge some hot pickups suffer from. Its patented dual-resonance coils keep overtones alive even at high output, so single notes retain depth and chords sound full rather than compressed. Dynamics respond well to picking hand touch — dig in for power, back off for cleaner, quieter tones. Split-coil wiring also opens up a usable single-coil voice.
- Wiring: 4-conductor
- Magnet: Alnico 5
- Output: 375 mV
- DC Resistance: 17.31 kOhm
Both pickups arrive in black, and this bundle includes a free set of D’Addario EXL120 Super Light strings so you can get your guitar strung and gigging as soon as the install is done.
