Description
This bundle pairs two of DiMarzio’s most versatile humbuckers with a fresh set of strings, so you can rewire and restring in one shot. The PAF Pro (DP151) sits in the neck position, built for players who need a vintage PAF-style openness that can still cut through gain and effects without turning to mush. Expect snappy low end, a slight midrange push that gives notes a wah-half-cocked character, and treble that stays present without getting harsh. It was designed in the mid-80s specifically to survive rack processing and high-gain amps, and it doubles as a strong bridge pickup when you don’t need maximum output.
In the bridge, the Tone Zone (DP155) brings serious low-mid weight and a wide dynamic range, so hard picking unleashes real power while lighter touch stays clean. Its patented dual-resonance coils keep the overtone content alive despite the fat, aggressive voice, and it splits cleanly into a usable single-coil tone. Together, the PAF Pro and Tone Zone make a classic building-block combo: transparent neck, muscular bridge.
- PAF Pro: 4-conductor, Alnico 5, 300mV output, 8.4K DC resistance
- Tone Zone: 4-conductor, Alnico 5, 375mV output, 17.31K DC resistance
- Both housed in creme covers
Rounding out the set, a pack of Ernie Ball EB2222 Hybrid Slinky strings gets your guitar back in tune and ready to play the moment your new pickups are wired in.
