Description
This bundle pairs two of DiMarzio’s most versatile humbuckers with a fresh set of strings, so you can rewire your guitar and restring it in one go. The PAF Pro (DP151) in the neck slot was designed for the era when high-gain rigs and rack processors started dominating stages, and it still does the job today. Its Alnico 5 magnet and 4-conductor wiring deliver an open, transparent PAF-style voice with a mid-range spike that gives notes a subtle wah-like vowel quality. Low strings snap and chunk, highs stay defined instead of turning brittle, and at 300mV output with 8.4 Kohm DC resistance it never gets swallowed by heavy effects chains.
In the bridge, the Tone Zone (DP155) solves the classic hot-bridge-pickup problem: buzzy, thin, mosquito-like tone. This one is high-output (375mV, 17.31 Kohm) but keeps a wide dynamic range, so dig in for power or back off for cleaner, quieter passages. Its patented dual-resonance coils and Alnico 5 magnet push huge bass and low-mid response, giving chords real size and single notes real depth — it also splits cleanly for a convincing single-coil tone. Together, the PAF Pro and Tone Zone make a well-matched two-humbucker team, transparent up top and powerful down low.
