Description
The Pro Track solves the classic Strat problem: you want humbucker output and hum-cancelling stability without giving up that vintage PAF character. DiMarzio’s twin black blades run the full width of the pole area, so string alignment is never an issue and you get zero dead spots no matter where you bend. A ceramic magnet pushes out enough juice for any position on the guitar, but the treble is voiced smoother than a typical vintage-style humbucker, so it never turns brittle under gain.
Drop it in the bridge for a punchy, blues-forward tone – pair it with a Fast Track 1 or Chopper in the neck and a Cruiser in the middle for a versatile three-pickup blues setup. Prefer rock? Run the Pro Track in the neck against a Fast Track 2 or a full-size humbucker in the bridge for a rig that covers heavy riffing and articulate leads alike. In the neck alone, its smoothed-off top end makes a surprisingly convincing jazz voice, and it holds up as a singing solo pickup when you push the gain.
Because it’s a true humbucker under the hood, the Pro Track also splits and runs in parallel cleanly, opening up single-coil-adjacent tones without sacrificing the noiseless design.
