Description
The Cruiser Bridge is DiMarzio’s answer for guitarists who love single-coil character but are done fighting 60-cycle buzz, uneven string output, and magnets that choke sustain. Built on rail construction rather than the classic side-by-side pole layout, it dodges hum while still delivering the harmonic sparkle and open, vocal midrange that make a Strat sound like a Strat.
Don’t mistake it for a low-output vintage clone, though. The Cruiser runs hotter than a traditional single-coil and adds real chunk to the low strings, giving it a bit more muscle and push. That extra output makes it a natural partner for medium-output humbuckers elsewhere on the guitar, and it holds its tonal identity even when you throw high-gain amps and a pedalboard full of effects at it – no thinning out, no getting lost in the mix.
Key traits:
- Rail-style single-coil design – eliminates 60-cycle hum and string drop-out
- Retains true single-coil harmonic overtones and open midrange voice
- Hotter output than a standard single-coil, with added low-end chunk
- Pairs well with medium-output humbuckers for a balanced pickup set
- Stays articulate and true to itself under high gain and heavy effects use
Finish: White housing with Nickel rails – designed for the bridge position.
