Description
Somewhere between 1969 and 1970, Hendrix played three of his most legendary sets—Woodstock, Berkeley, and the Fillmore East—through a red Fuzz Face with white knobs that nobody could ever track down again. It didn’t sound like his other fuzzes; it had a snarl, a bite, an aggression that made it stand apart from every other Fuzz Face circuit he owned.
That pedal vanished into rock history, but the tone stuck around on tape, and generations of Hendrix obsessives have been chasing it ever since. Dunlop’s engineers finally cracked the mystery by digging through Jimi’s various customized circuits and landing on a variant of the Octavio design—minus the octave-up effect. A handful of careful tweaks later, the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini was born.
The result is that same wild, biting fuzz tone from those iconic shows, now packed into Dunlop’s compact Mini housing so it won’t hog space on your board. It’s built with an AC power jack for reliable operation and an on/off status LED so you always know where you stand.
