Description
This Emerson harness swaps your Strat’s stock switching for a far more musical setup: one master volume, one master tone, and a dedicated blender pot that lets you fade in extra pickups on the fly. Sitting in the neck position, roll the blender up and you can mix in the bridge pickup to taste. Do the same from the bridge position and the neck pickup joins in. Positions 2 and 4 go a step further, letting all three pickups sound together for those glassy, out-of-phase-adjacent tones Strat players chase for years. No modes to memorize, no awkward switch flicks mid-song — just turn a knob.
Everything arrives pre-assembled and ready to solder straight into your control cavity:
- 1x Emerson Pro CTS Master Volume Pot, 250K (3/8″ split shaft)
- 1x Emerson Pro CTS Master Tone Pot, 250K (3/8″ split shaft)
- 1x Emerson Pro CTS Blender Pot, 250K (3/8″ split shaft)
- 1x Emerson 0.022uF capacitor
- 1x Treble bleed volume mod, so your tone stays crisp as you back off the volume
- 1x Prewired output jack
- 1x Wiring diagram
With the blender pot rolled fully up (10), the 5-way switch behaves like a standard Strat: bridge, bridge & middle, middle, middle & neck, neck. Roll the blender down toward 1 and things get interesting — bridge picks up the neck pickup, middle & bridge picks up neck, middle & neck picks up bridge, and neck picks up bridge, all blended in continuously rather than switched on/off.
A quick heads-up on knobs: these split-shaft pots are cut for USA-spec 24-spline push-on knobs. Import-spec knobs (even on some USA-made guitars) may not seat properly. Take your time pressing knobs on, and if one feels overly tight, gently crimp the top of the shaft rather than forcing it — that protects the pot from shaft damage.
