Description
Most Telecasters only give you three switch positions, leaving that fat, series-wired bridge+neck blend permanently out of reach. Emerson’s prewired 4-Way kit fixes that with a fully assembled harness built to slide straight into most American Fender Teles — no drilling, no guesswork, no cold solder joints to chase down later.
- (2) Emerson Pro CTS 250K solid shaft potentiometers (3/8″ shaft length)
- (1) Oak Grigsby 4-way switch
- (1) Switchcraft 1/4″ mono input jack
- (1) 0.047uF Emerson paper-in-oil capacitor
- (1) Volume mod
- Wiring diagram included
Everything is hand-wired with 22 AWG vintage push-back cloth wire for that old-school look under the hood, and every solder joint at the input jack is heat-shrink insulated so the connections stay solid for the long haul.
The 4-way switch adds a genuinely useful fourth voice to the standard Tele setup:
- Bridge
- Bridge & Neck in Parallel
- Neck
- Bridge & Neck in Series — the humbucker-style fullness Tele players usually can’t get
Pot spacing is built to standard Fender Tele control plate specs, with 2.50″ center-to-center between volume and tone. Wired for a reverse control plate layout (Volume, Tone, 4-way switch, with Volume nearest the bridge pickup for easy access). Note: control plate is not included, and import guitars with metric-sized pots may need control plate holes reamed slightly to fit these US-spec pots and knobs.
