Description
If you’re running an EMG dual-mode pickup like the 89 or 81TW, this is the switch that unlocks its second personality. The 25k push/pull pot handles volume or tone duties as normal, but pull up on the knob and it splits the coils, taking you from full humbucker output down to a leaner, quacky single-coil tone in an instant.
- 25k resistance, split shaft design
- Short/standard Strat-sized shaft length
- Solderless installation – no iron required
- Built for use with EMG dual-mode pickups (89, 81TW, and similar)
EMG’s solderless system means you can get this installed in minutes rather than fighting with a soldering iron in a cramped control cavity. Just clip it into your existing EMG solderless harness and you’re ready to go. It’s a small part, but it’s the difference between a guitar that does one thing well and one that covers two very different tonal bases without ever touching a switch on your amp.
A genuinely useful upgrade for anyone building out a dual-mode EMG setup, or simply replacing a worn factory pot with the real deal.
