Housed in EMG’s 40 Extended shell (4 inches / 102mm wide), it’s designed with the treble-side magnet positioned closer to the neck — the alignment favored by Spector and Yamaha basses. If your instrument follows the traditional Fender layout instead, with treble toward the bridge, ask about the “reverse” version of this pickup.
