The EMG BQS System HZ takes the guesswork out of wiring a proper active EQ into your bass. It’s a complete, pre-wired control harness designed to work with passive bass pickups or EMG HZ pickups, dropping in a balance (blend) control, master volume, and a 2-band EQ with a sweepable mid stage — all in one harness.

Every EQ stage works the way you’d expect from an active bass circuit: turn clockwise to boost, counterclockwise to cut, with a solid center detent marking flat response so you can always find your way back to neutral. The real trick is the mid-range section — instead of a fixed mid frequency, you get a variable sweep from 100Hz to 1kHz, letting you target exactly where you want to push or scoop the midrange, whether that’s a low honk or an upper-mid growl.
