The MM-CS is EMG’s direct-fit answer for Music Man bass players who want more punch without changing their setup. It follows the original large-profile format that redefined bass pickup design, with dual coils spaced a full inch apart to capture a broad slice of string vibration and deliver that signature Music Man growl.
Under the hood, EMG uses its CS (Ceramic and Steel) formula: ceramic magnets keep the top end open and detailed, while steel is worked in to boost inductance and thicken up the lows. The result is a pickup that stays clear and articulate for aggressive picking or slapping, yet blooms into a warm, rounded tone when you dig in for something softer. If you need low-end that fills a room, this set is built for exactly that.
