The Fishman AGX-125 takes Fishman’s tried-and-true under-saddle ceramic design and widens it out to suit nylon-string classicals and 12-strings, where standard-width pickups just don’t sit right under the saddle. At .125″ (3.2mm) wide, it’s sized to handle the broader string spacing these instruments demand, up to 2.312″ from E to E.
Being a passive transducer, there’s no battery to worry about or replace mid-gig. Plug straight into an amp or PA if you like, though pairing it with an impedance-matching preamp will get you a fuller, more balanced signal – not mandatory, just recommended if you want to squeeze out the extra headroom and clarity.
