Description
Wound pickups have basically looked the same since 1934 — Fishman decided that needed a rethink. The Fluence Classic bridge humbucker builds on their Fluence Core design to deliver two genuinely different, genuinely useful tones from a single pickup, without the hum, noise, and inductance baggage that comes standard with traditional wire-wound construction.
Flip the switch and you’re moving between Voice 1, a calibrated take on the vintage P.A.F. bridge sound dialed to just the right output, and Voice 2, the classic hot-rodded humbucker tone guitarists have chased for decades — minus the noise floor that usually comes with it. Because Fluence pickups don’t rely on old-school coil winding to shape tone, switching voices doesn’t cost you output level the way a coil tap would.
Being active, these pickups stay clean and punchy even through long cable runs — 20, 30, 50 feet, no signal loss — and volume control doesn’t eat your top end the way it can with passive setups. Power comes from a standard 9V, good for roughly 200 hours, with the option to go rechargeable via an optional lithium-ion pack so you’re never digging through a bag for a fresh battery.
