Wound pickups have chased this sound since 1934 — Fishman just cut the cord on the hum that came with it. This set of three single-width Fluence pickups gives you two genuinely distinct Strat voices per pickup, built from the ground-up Fluence Core rather than a coil tap or passive trick, so switching between them doesn’t cost you output or clarity.
Voice 1 is your vintage single-coil: airy, sweet, and present, with a 4kHz peak that keeps the top end glassy without turning brittle. Flip to Voice 2 and you’re in Hot Texas territory — an overwound-style, muscular push with a 3kHz peak that thickens the midrange and adds serious punch while keeping that unmistakable strat character intact. Wire both voices to a switch and toggle on the fly, or just set your favorite and forget it.
Because these are active pickups built on Fishman’s noiseless Fluence architecture, you get none of the 60-cycle hum or inductance-related tone loss that standard coils are prone to — even at long cable runs of 30, 50 feet or more, the signal stays intact. Volume control here doesn’t rob you of high end either, so rolling back still sounds like your guitar, not a muffled version of it.
