Strat players have been chasing the same trade-off for decades: sweet vintage chime or fat overwound punch, but never both from the same set of pickups. Fishman’s Fluence Multivoice single-width pickups end that compromise by putting two genuinely different voices inside each pickup, built around Fishman’s Fluence Core instead of traditional wire winding.
Voice 1 delivers vintage single-coil character — clear, present, and sparkly with a warm edge, peaking at 4kHz. Flip to Voice 2 and you get a Hot Texas single-coil voice: muscular, overwound-style output with more beef, peaking at 3kHz, but without sacrificing the top-end snap that makes a Strat sound like a Strat. Wire in a push-pull or mini toggle and switch between them on the fly, or just set your favorite and forget it.
Because Fluence pickups aren’t wound in the traditional sense, they sidestep the noise, hum, and inductance quirks that even great single coils are prone to. That means quiet operation at any volume, no top-end loss when you turn down, and no signal degradation even with long cable runs. Drop-in compatible with standard single-coil routing, this set runs on a standard 9V battery for roughly 250 hours, or an optional rechargeable lithium-ion pack for extended sessions.
