P90s have always been a devil’s bargain: that raw, honky midrange bite comes bundled with noise, 60-cycle hum, and a tendency to howl at higher gain. Fluence technology finally breaks that trade-off. Instead of stacking coils and sacrificing some of the character to cancel hum (the usual workaround), Fishman’s active, multi-voice design cancels noise, hum, and acoustic feedback at the source while leaving the pickup’s actual voice untouched.
