Description
The Neo-D takes the same neodymium magnet structure that made Fishman’s Rare Earth pickup a favorite and puts it in a simpler, more affordable single coil package. That magnet choice matters: neodymium’s tighter field delivers even string-to-string balance and a clear, sparkling top end that plain ceramic or alnico designs often struggle to match on acoustic guitar.
Because it’s a high-impedance, passive design, there’s no battery to remember, no preamp to fail, and one less thing between your strings and your amp. The low-profile body just clips into the soundhole—no drilling, no routing, no permanent changes to your guitar. As long as your soundhole is at least 3-7/8″ (98.5mm) across, it fits, and you’re plugged in and playing within minutes.
It’s a genuinely plug-and-play option for players who want a quick, reliable way to amplify an acoustic for a gig or a session without committing to invasive electronics or hunting down batteries mid-set.
- Neodymium magnet structure for exceptional string balance and sparkling acoustic clarity
- Low-profile, high-impedance passive design—no battery required
- Simple soundhole installation, no guitar modification needed
- Fits soundholes as small as 3-7/8″ (98.5mm) in diameter
Want more output and hum-canceling? Fishman also makes this pickup in a Humbucking version built around the same magnet technology.
