If you’re running a Fishman Powerbridge alongside your magnetic pickups, the Powerchip is the missing piece that lets you actually control how those two signals interact. This long-shaft version mounts onboard and gives you a dedicated piezo volume control, purpose-built by Fishman to work hand-in-hand with their exclusive ‘Smart Switch’ circuit.
That Smart Switch is the clever part: it automatically detects whether you want your piezo and magnetic outputs kept separate (stereo) or blended together into a single mono signal. No extra switching gymnastics required — it just handles the routing while you focus on shaping the mix with the volume control.
Like most active onboard electronics, the Powerchip needs power to operate, so a 9-volt battery installation is required. If you don’t already have a battery box wired in, Fishman sells one separately (ACC-BAT-001) to complete the setup.
